Concrete Shuttering Plastic for Column
Why choose plastic concrete shuttering?
1. Compared with traditional wooden/ steel formwork, concrete shuttering plastic ( PP hollow construction board) can reduce the cost by 30% because of its features: high strength, good impact resistance, good abrasion resistance, reusable at least 50 times and high cost-effective price.
2. It is very suitable for seaside buildings, and water conservancy projects because of its advantages: good waterproof capacity and doesn’t deform, crack, and delaminate.
3. It is easy for workers to operate: can be drilled, nailed, sawed, cut, etc. So It is very flexible for workers to use and suitable for all buildings and engineering.
4. It can improve dismantling efficiency by 40% because it is convenient to remove. Only tapping, our plastic formwork drops down and there is no need to worry about the damage from dropping down. What’s more, shaped concrete structures reach the standard of fair-face and can be directly decorated with veneer, shortening the construction time by 30%.
5. It can be used for special curved surface concrete structures because of its good toughness. We can use a forklift to bend the formwork.
6. With lightweight because of low density and hollow structure in the middle, it is easy for workers to carry and operate and reduce the transportation cost.
7. We don’t need brushing oil to save cost and shorten construction time because of its flat and smooth surface and not sticking to the concrete.

Precautions for using concrete shuttering plastic
1: Use 15mm thick plastic building formwork for top slab laying, and we can use 15mm for shear wall formwork according to the thickness and height of the wall.
2: Spacing of wood:
a: Top slab plastic formwork support: The spacing of wood depends on the thickness of the floor slab concrete. Under normal construction conditions, the spacing (center distance) of wood for floor slabs less than 0.15m is 200~250mm.
b: Shear wall plastic formwork support: Adjust the spacing of wood according to the height and thickness of the wall. Taking the 2800mm wall height and the 300mm wall thickness as an example, the vertical secondary rib spacing is 150mm when using 15mm thick formwork. Shear walls and columns with a width of more than 1 meter must be fixed with a frame.
3: No gap is left when splicing the shear wall and column formwork. There must be wood at the inner corner (bottom of the wall) to facilitate the connection of beams, walls, and formwork. When the shear wall formwork is erected, it must be assembled into a whole piece and then hoisted. At last, lay the flat plate. Thus it can reduce labor intensity and has a good molding effect.
4: When nailing the plastic formwork, the nails must be 15~30mm away from the edge of the formwork. And the force should be moderate. The length of the nail is generally 40~50mm, not too long or too short.
5: The wooden square of the beam bottom plate must leave a 1.5cm stop, and the wallboard stands on the wooden square stop, so that there will be no leakage and save wallboard materials.
6: It is best to use a high-speed electric saw (speed above 4000 rpm), and the saw blade should use an alloy aluminum sheet.
